So Here Is A Possible Fabric Blend...

Hello all,

I have been doing research and found a blend to test. 52% cotton (possibly neoprene like the dude said), 46% rayon, 2% spandex. This can be washed in cold water and should "cling" better to the skin. The thickness right now is the question. The fabric needs to be be thick enough to be flattering, but thin enough to breathe. Does anyone know where the best places in the US to get estimates, or most cost effective as to how to creating a protype? Again all advice is welcome!! I am thinking a skinny boot-cut. But the boot cut not to be too prominent as to look like bell bottoms, just enough to add shape. This is all about comfort and flattering shape.
Let me know!!

I did a little Research..

Hello my fellow petite sassians!! Ok so as I am developing this project...and trying to construct pants, the weirdest thing, I found advice from my doctor getting my annual....yes I know TMI. She is like a size zero but the age of 65-ish and said to check out "not your daughter's jeans." I checked them out and they are for the curvier female - so no "big" competition there, but still they have created effective pants for a specific woman. In our situation here ladies, we are not the "curviest" ones - no. And dang nab it there is nothing wrong with that!! But there is also nothing wrong with trying to create pants that are so darn comfortable and flattering they become the only pants you wear and you don't have to hem!!!
So I will shortly upload COPYRIGHTED designs...but the material is the tricky part. Anyone have advice to get material that slightly stretches, but doesn't stretch out? And clings to the legs? Bebe did have some skinny jeans that did this and I am trying to track them down. Any ideas?? There is going to by a type of maybe organic cotton, mixed with nylon and some spandex---but some. I just got to find the right combination. Any ideas please let me know! If I am able to create a great pair of pants, I will make a pair for everyone who helps me!!!

RE: Mysti Martin

Omg girl thank you for your input!! Yes I have been so tired of this happening to me so I have been doing some sketches of designs - I haven't copyrighted them yet, but in the process of doing so. I think I may design something that is a bit more high waisted and grips the legs and skin - and yes a slight bootcut is exactly what I was thinking. And medium dark wash- yes most versatile - awesome. Thanks woman and I would love your feeedback on the designs I post because I am making these things for people like you and me!!

Have you ever...

Personally I am going to be up front, I have a Small frame, not very shapely or voluptuous, more of a "boy shape" which means not a high ratio between waist, hips and chest. My pants NEVER fit right. No pants have an inseam at 30.5",I am constantly pulling them up and rarely are they "derriere" flattering. Does anyone out there have this problem? DO you think I should go forward with designing/constructing a pair of pants that actually stay up where they are supposed to be, have the proper leg length and SUPER flattering for your derriere?? If so, would you like to see:
  • jeans
  • everyday pants
  • works pants
Would you like a
  • button fly
  • snap
  • fold over
  • hook
  • sailor front?

What colors would you love to wear?
  • nude-ish or pale pink
  • blue (jean/style color)
  • black
  • light grey
  • light green
  • navy blue
Any feedback to help this deign come into fruition would be greatly appreciated!!
